I have been trying to let everyone know that I have had to postpone the
8/21/2004 Saturday PABIA EXTENDED FAMILY picnic at 630 Bascom Ave. to
Saturday October 9 as our second great Event
celebrating:
OCTOBER- BRAIN Injury Awareness Month ‘EXTENDED’ FAMILY PICNIC FOR FELLOW SURVIVORS & FAMILY OF THE PITTSBURGH AREA BRAIN INJURY ALLIANCE
at the Judge Francis & Mary B. Taptich estate SATURDAY 10/ 9/2004 1:00 PM TO 9:00 PM
for the first 60(~) that CALL ED at 412-761-9870 at 630 Bascom Avenue near the corner of Brighton Road also near Jacks Run Road opposite the Bellevue Giant Eagle 4110 Brighton Road
This is because I am back and forth this month to Wilkes-Barre moving my
dad from Mercy Specialty Care center to a long term care center tomorrow.
That Friday evening 5/14 I left from his house in Wilkes-Barre after helping
him with his mobility problem for a week and seeing my mom still on her
deathbed at Geisinger's ICU, then at the nursing home (she finally passed on
June 17) he fell and hit his head on a counter in his kitchen. The fire
department came and helped him to bed since he said he was OK. The next
morning when his friend Mary Jane tried to raise him, he said he had a bad
headache and took two pain pills and would rest a little longer. An hour
later she went upstairs to ask he needed anything while she was out shopping
and couldn't raise him. The ambulance came, couldn't get him into General or
Mercy, but luckily the new Geisinger took him into ICU where they found a
blood clot in his left temple. They removed it with they said 15 minutes to
spare. I wonder if he did this on purpose, since he always said he needed to
be a TBI for me to pay more time and attention to him.
The rent on his house is ending in 16 days. That means I have that long
to empty the whole house of my dad's and my engineering equipment and
computers and the Crinnion family history, furniture and archives. So please
let our area support group attendees that I probably won't be in Pittsburgh on
the NorthSide this coming Saturday for the original scheduled picnic, but keep
reminding me to be here on 10/9.
That will be just after Joseph L. Romano, Esquire on talk
Tuesday 10/5 from 7 to 9 PM on 'LEGAL ISSUES FOR T B
I ( TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY ) SURVIVORS AND FAMILIES - FUNDING AND PLANNING FOR
THE FUTURE' at a location (?) close to our PABIA meeting site at

presentation rooms if I can get their Department of Counseling, Psychology and
